Ice skating

So one more baby bucket list item was checked off today... Ice skating. I have always wanted to try ice skating. I was pretty much convinced that deep down inside of me there was a figure skater just dying to come out, and what I found out was there was a girl who could go realllllyyyy slow, but hey! At least I tried to go slow gracefully. I can at least boast that i never fell. I officially have a ton of respect for figure skaters and ice hockey players. As for graham, he hated it, but we expected as much, and he can also boast that he didn't fall! It was a fun day trying a new sport,but I don't think you will find us out on the ice again. I'm just grateful to have a husband who loves me enough to try out something I've always wanted to try. I had a blast during our adventure and can't wait for the next. Take care!

Baby Bucket List

Okay, so I normally wouldn't do two postings in a day, but I basically just wanted to get the whole "workings" of a blog down. So, an interesting thing happened to me when  the hubby and I got married. I always knew that I would want kids someday, but it was always in a someday in a far away land,  but I'm not quite ready yet sort of way. Then we got married, and baby fever has hit me hard. Part of this I think is because I am getting to the point in my life where I want children, and the other part is many of the women in my life have recently started having beautiful babies. So, long story short the hubby and I decided our baby plan. When we think the right time is, and what milestones we wanted to happen first, and in that talk was born our baby bucket list. Now, although we have serious things we want to accomplish before we have a baby, the baby bucket list is a list of serious and fun/adventurous things we want to do together before we take the next step. So, although we wont be sharing our ideal time line ;-) (life still needs some surprises right?) I thought it would be fun to share some of our adventures. The next item we are going to try is ice skating :-? Graham isn't too hot on the idea as he is 6'4 and will fall much harder than me, but I have always wanted to do it (and because he is the loving husband that he is), he is going to humor me and do it. First blog post

So.... We decided to jump on the blog bandwagon! We have many family and friends who write blogs, and we found that they were not only really fun to read, but they were also a neat way to stay in touch with their lives. So here we are! We got married last August and have had a lot of exciting things happen in that time. Graham got out of the Navy and after a couple of months of looking...found a job he loves!!! We became parents to our adorable puppy Penny and are having just a blast with her! Our next adventure is the search for our first house! Although I adore our first little apartment I am also so excited to begin the search. Well, for now that's all I have to say we will keep you posted on the hunt ;-). Take care!
